The Suryavanshi Kshatriya Mahasabha was formed in 2016 with the aim of strengthening the Saini, Maurya, Kushwaha, and Shakya communities politically in Uttar Pradesh . This organization has been active in Uttar Pradesh since 2016 and aims to unite these four communities to have a strong political representation in the state . The main objective of forming this organization was to bring the popular leader Keshav Prasad Maurya to power and to support him in securing a leading role. The organization's unity and strength was evident when they were able to help the Bharatiya Janata Party win the majority in the 2017 state elections. Keshav Prasad Maurya was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh due to the influence and unity of this group .

These four communities Saini, Maurya, Kushwaha and Shakya constitute a significant percentage of the population in Uttar Pradesh ranging from 14 to 16 percent. It is believed that without the support of these communities, no political party can come to power in the state . The unity of these communities plays a pivotal role in state politics .

This association is not the first of its kind as a similar one known as the Saini-Mali group has been formed in Rajasthan . This alliance has significantly benefited the Saini and Mali communities in Rajasthan and they have been able to elect their leader Ashok Gehlot as the Chief Minister several times .
While this political group has shown significant strength and unity. it remains to be seen in the future how it will progress and the extent of its power in politics . Nonetheless, with the support and unity of these communities the organization is expected to have a significant impact on the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh .
